Katie, aka Trash Glam Baby is one of those new band of Rats fans and COB, who really got into the band after 2013. She has been a regular contributor to the site and was one of the first to support Album Club. If you haven't read her post on The Stranglers 'Black and White' album yet, why not give it a look after watching this?
I really enjoyed having this chat with Katie and her passion for The Ricky Horror Picture Show is obvious........ as it is for another classic punk band! I hope you enjoy the chat too.
And the below clip shows exactly what a Shadow production does!
Wow great interview Katie. I think the showcase idea is brilliant. Post them on COB as much as you like.
Dats Bob's pink feather boa...
Interesting! I have to admit, I was completely oblivious to this Rocky / Ricky Horror (Picture) Show phenomenon... I'll check it out! Thank you TGB and Mr. Mayor!
Well done, TGB....U 2 Mr. Mayor...I tink u could b the next Michael parkinson...
Nothing to do with me. Clearly the track reaches the masses on its obvious merits, unless your name is @dianeharper243 (once or twice) 🙄
Great stuff Suss and a lovely offer to TGB. And you have started something with Eva B!
p.s. in case @dianeharper243 or @dianeharper243 (who has 2 profiles?!?) reading this, that's 3 consecutive votes for Eva Braun as the go to track... you convinced yet? 🤣
Great interview and I'm now clear about the Ricky Horror reference above 😉.
I'm also a fan although never seen a live show, either theatre or shadow cast. Latter sounds very interesting, although can see why the Franknfurter seduction scenes best portrayed with puppets 😂. Closest I can claim is audience participation in late night (double feature) picture showing at cinema, with Shock Treatment, which was great fun, about 1980 as I recall. Didn't dress up mind, just shouted back at the key lines.
I really like Shock Treatment as well, the lesser known and lauded 'sequel'. Bit of a flop by comparison but great soundtrack. Got both on DVD (and vinyl and CD) and still get the occasional airing.
On that topic @Trash_Glam_Baby do you have a turntable? I've got following that's quite hard to come by (or expensive) that I rarely if ever play if you're interested maybe? If so, a beer in Elgin and it's yours 🙂
Excellent.
We went to see the Stranglers a few years back in Oxford and got chatting to a fan. He said he goes nearly every gig, another Suss. I expect every band has someone 😄.
