What's the fastest way to stop something called a Rewind? Bring everyone fully into the present in an uncompromising and startling way. It's good to be startled into the present moment ~ you never want to miss out on one second of life right NOW.
This must be how the crowd on the grounds of Scone Palace in Perth, Scotland felt on Sunday night after a beautiful and lush set of songs by Midge Ure ~ they could let their minds go back in time if they wanted to to the sounds of "Vienna" and "Dancing With Tears In My Eyes" or get lost in a daydream, because Midge Ure's music has a way of making your mind drift away, but once the Rats hit the stage with their signature alarm clock going off at full volume, it was full~throttle ahead for the rest of the night! And never was a group of people more happy to be startled back to life! Bob Geldof's lyrics are never willing to let you off the hook. You can't listen to the Rats and be in denial about anything ~ everything about the Rats shakes you into life! If you're singing along because the melody's catchy, at a certain point you're going to notice what you're really singing and those lyrics simply won't allow you to live life in a trance. The ONE trance the Rats are allowing for on this incredible run of summer shows is the raw, hypnotic one Rats 2024 "(She's Gonna) Do You In" pulls you into. This song is continuing to cast a mojo spell under every summer sky Bob's harmonica is singing into...and it REALLY does SING. It's simply never written or spoken about enough what a mind~blowing harmonica player Bob Geldof is. Do you want to experience that yourself? You have one more chance this year! When the Rats take over App-Fest in Gloucestershire on 1st August! They're going to pour SO MUCH energy into it that they're going to need to eat lots of...WHAT do the Boomtown Rats eat lots of after their shows?! The only thing a band that's just shown an entire festival how it's done COULD eat to restore all of that power and energy! Come back tomorrow for
